Description

The Finance Manager-Dar es Salaam will be responsible for SSA’s management accounting and reporting, profit and cost analysis, financial submissions and Global presentations to the South Africa FP&A Head. This position assists the BU Heads in preparing the annual operating plan & budget, outer years strategic planning, monthly financial forecasts, variance analysis and bridges. In addition to these, this position will have special projects throughout the year including process and workflow automation, working capital and process improvements. This role will also assist the South Africa FP&A head on specific South Africa related matters, i.e. Transfer pricing, True-up calculations, Global COGS, adhoc projects. This role is a critical link between the operational/commercial SSA teams, Global costing, IFC and transfer price related issues on India side.

Key Responsibilities

SSA FP&A:

·         Review of sales order book (actual vs. budget)
·         Keep track of & manage Red Bucket
·         Quarterly P&L by BU
·         Track of secondary sales and inventory
·         Monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting - Trend Analysis & Financial Statements Forecasting - P&L and key Cash flow & Balance sheet items for the year [Achieve 90%+ Forecast accuracy]
·         Key financial issues and resolution
·         Business performance review note with dashboard
·         Financial Audit
·         Track of expenses
·         Compliance – Intercompany recon (QCIL, QCL) with global accounting team (Processes)
·         Risks & Opportunities tracking per country
·         Regular communications to avoid surprises
·         Annual budget collation & sign off
·         Strat plan
·         Harmonization project
·         Credit control
·         Supporting business team in supplier contracts - specifically on commercial terms and others and taking necessary approvals [GFC/IFC etc.]
·         Quarterly calculations of True-up entries
·         Calculations for Transfer prices – in line with APA rulings
·         Providing Global COGS and cross charges to SA FP&A team – Quarterly and adhoc
·         Support to SA India SCM team for pricing & other capacity & inventory planning


Experience:

•   Overall experience in finance of about 6-10 years
