Job Overview

The Child Safeguarding Officer leads the implementation of safeguarding standards across programs, ensuring children are protected from abuse and exploitation in alignment with national and international laws.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of child safeguarding and SEAH prevention measures.
• Coordinate safeguarding training for staff, partners, and community stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for all projects.
• Facilitate confidential reporting and referral of safeguarding concerns.
• Monitor and supervise partner schools and communities for safeguarding compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Education, or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in child safeguarding or protection in an NGO context.
• Strong knowledge of Tanzania Child Protection Laws and SEAH prevention.
• Fluency in both English and Swahili.
