Position: Exploration Geologist

Location: Tanzania (Field-Based)

Employment Type: Contract (6 Months, Renewable)

Job Overview

A growing gold exploration project is seeking a results-driven Geologist to oversee a trench sampling program targeting oxidized gold mineralization. This role requires extensive field presence and structural mapping expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Geological mapping of trenches and identification of oxide/sulphide zones.
• Structural mapping including strike/dip measurements and shear zones.
• Design and supervision of trench and channel sampling programs.
• Implementation of rigorous QA/QC protocols (blanks, standards, duplicates).
• Daily field reporting and compilation of technical summary reports.

Requirements

• BSc Degree in Geology or a related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in gold exploration.
• Proven experience in trench and channel sampling.
• Proficiency in geological software (QGIS, Surpac, or Leapfrog).
