Position Overview

The Head of QC and QA is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems across all construction projects. This role ensures that materials, workmanship, and processes align with regulatory standards, client expectations, and Advent’s internal benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance (QA):

Develop and enforce QA policies and procedures in line with ISO 9001 and local building codes.
Lead internal audits and ensure readiness for external inspections.
Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, and legal standards.
Collaborate with project managers to integrate QA into project planning and execution.
Oversee document control and ensure traceability of QA records.
Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for non-conformities.

Quality Control (QC):

Supervise site inspections for materials, workmanship, and construction activities.
Approve inspection and test plans (ITPs) and ensure their execution.
Validate material certifications and coordinate third-party testing when required.
Review and sign off on quality reports, NCRs, and punch lists.
Coordinate with consultants and clients on QC matters and approvals.

Leadership & Team Management:

Lead and mentor the QA/QC team across multiple sites.
Conduct training sessions on quality standards and best practices.
Set KPIs and monitor performance of quality personnel.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Reporting & Strategy:

Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.
Analyze trends in defects, rework, and audit findings to drive improvements.
Participate in strategic planning for quality enhancement.
Stay updated on industry innovations and regulatory changes.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
Experience: 10+ years in QA/QC roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
Certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, PMP, or equivalent preferred.
Technical Skills: QMS, ITPs, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, Risk Management.
Soft Skills: Leadership, Communication, Problem-solving, Strategic Thinking.

Tools & Systems:

Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
AutoCAD & construction documentation platforms.
Inspection and audit software.
