About CDTF

The Cotton Development Trust Fund (CDTF) was incorporated in Tanzania on 4th March 2008 under the Trustees Incorporation Act (CAP.318 R.E. 2002). The Fund replaced the Cotton Development Fund (CDF) and was formed in line with the wishes of cotton industry stakeholders, as outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding signed on 21st April 2006.

CDTF is now inviting qualified, young, and dynamic Tanzanians to apply for the following opportunities under contract employment and internship program.

Available Positions

  • Accountant (1 Post – Six Months Contract)
  • Accountant Interns (3 Posts – Internship)

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in: Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration (majoring in Accountancy/Finance), or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform interdepartmental audits.
  • Conduct periodical cash accounting for each department to verify correctness of cash and book balances.
  • Carry out regular and surprise audits to Directorates, Sections, and Units.
  • Examine financial accounting and supporting documents.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of internal control systems and recommend improvements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualitative Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management.
  • Ability to handle complex data and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal).

Internship applicants must:

  • Have no prior work experience in their area of study.
  • Have completed studies within 3 years from the date of this advert.
  • Be aged 18–35 years.
