Position: Mobile App Developer – Nairobi

We are seeking a talented Mobile App Developer to lead the creation of a ride-hailing application similar to Uber or Bolt.
You will be responsible for developing both customer and driver apps, implementing real-time tracking, secure payments, and ensuring a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop cross-platform mobile apps using Flutter or React Native.
  • Build and maintain separate interfaces for riders and drivers.
  • Integrate key features including:
    • User registration & login
    • Real-time driver tracking
    • Geolocation and Google Maps API
    • Booking management system
    • In-app chat and push notifications
    • Secure payments (M-Pesa and others)
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product teams.
  • Consume RESTful APIs and ensure smooth backend integration.
  • Optimize app performance and battery efficiency.
  • Conduct unit and integration testing, debugging, and CI/CD pipeline deployment.
  • Publish apps on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in mobile app development and deployment.
  • Strong proficiency in Flutter or React Native.
  • Experience building ride-hailing, logistics, or service-matching apps.
  • Expertise in geolocation APIs, Firebase, and offline data management.
  • Familiarity with Git, Agile methodologies, and backend integration.
  • Experience with M-Pesa API, GraphQL, Node.js, or Laravel is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
