Position Overview

Deputy Principal – Mombasa

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Principal in daily school management and administration.
  • Oversee academic programs for effective curriculum implementation and quality teaching.
  • Supervise and support teaching and non-teaching staff, promoting discipline, motivation, and performance.
  • Coordinate student welfare, discipline, and co-curricular activities.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and education regulatory standards.
  • Represent the Principal in their absence and perform other assigned duties.
  • Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and maintain academic standards.
  • Teach subjects of specialization and prepare learners for examinations.
  • Observe and evaluate students’ performance and development.
  • Maintain discipline according to school rules and behavior management policies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 3–5 years teaching experience, including at least 2 years in leadership/administrative roles.
  • Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, discipline, and commitment to the school’s vision and values.
