Role Overview

The Zonal Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing operations within a zone, building strong partnerships, and ensuring financial and stock management aligns with company objectives. The role combines strategic planning, team leadership, and operational oversight.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the sales budget to achieve operational excellence.
  • Advise management on strategic pricing to support growth and competitiveness.
  • Build strategic partnerships to achieve short-term and long-term business objectives.
  • Maintain a reliable business database for review and decision-making.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the zonal sales team.
  • Ensure timely payments from partners to maintain healthy cash flow.
  • Manage stock supply using FIFO principles.
  • Oversee zonal projects, ensuring deliverables and timelines are met.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on zonal performance, projects, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with department managers to implement new initiatives and improve processes.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies for the assigned area.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing or a Business-related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar FMCG sales role with a proven track record.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and business acumen skills.
  • Experience supporting a sales organization.
  • Program/project management experience.
  • Strategic thinker with strong decision-making skills.
  • Clean and valid driving license.
