Job Overview

KCB Bank Tanzania is seeking to recruit a Bank Teller for its Katoro branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing counter transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining high service standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process all counter transactions in line with the bank’s set objectives.
  • Introduce alternative banking channels to customers to reduce branch traffic in accordance with SOPs.
  • Cross-sell products based on customer needs without compromising service quality, contributing to branch KPIs.
  • Adhere to bank standards regarding average waiting and serving times, as well as productivity targets.
  • Handle customer requests promptly and escalate issues to the Head Teller or SQC Manager where necessary.
  • Maintain zero cash shortages or excesses at the counter to ensure proper cash control.
  • Comply with departmental policies, processes, and procedures to maintain consistency and control.
  • Uphold professionalism in attendance, punctuality, appearance, and adherence to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
  • Professional qualifications such as AKIB, CPA (T), ACCA are an added advantage.
  • A Master’s degree in a business-related field is desirable.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
