Job Summary

This Administration and HR Internship provides hands-on experience in human resources, administration, and data management within a global organization. Interns will support day-to-day operations, contribute to reporting, and gain exposure to UN administrative processes while assisting the HR team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry and processing of access badges/passes for UN visitors, affiliates, and conference participants.
  • Screen and verify documents for identity/access card requests according to SOPs.
  • Produce routine correspondence, reports, tables, charts, and graphs using standard word processing software.
  • Proofread documents for completeness, grammar, and typographical accuracy.
  • Maintain calendars, schedules, and track changes; communicate relevant information internally and externally.
  • Process and track mail and other documents, gather background material, and monitor follow-up actions.
  • Maintain paper and electronic files, photo databases, and distribution lists.
  • Assist in data collection, analysis, and preparation of reports for decision-making and knowledge management.
  • Deliver urgent messages, photocopy documents, and perform other related administrative tasks.

Qualifications & Special Skills

  • Enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree program in HR management, business or public administration, social sciences, education, or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
  • Demonstrated interest in the work of the United Nations and commitment to UN values.
  • Ability to interact successfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • No prior professional work experience required; academic training and skills should benefit UNON during the internship.
