Job Summary

Knauf Gypsum Tanzania is seeking a dedicated Calcination Operator to operate and monitor calcination equipment, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality gypsum products. This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and quality standards in the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor calcination equipment, including impact mills, crushers, and related machinery.
• Adjust process parameters to maintain product quality and achieve production targets.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Monitor raw material feed rates and handle materials properly during the calcination process.
• Record and analyze process data, identify and resolve deviations or issues.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to the Calcination In-charge.
• Clean machines, equipment, and surrounding areas during maintenance days.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a related field is a plus.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, preferably in calcination or similar processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of industrial safety regulations and procedures.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends as required.
