Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons for all primary school subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Civics.
  • Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, assessments, and teaching materials aligned with the Tanzanian national curriculum.
  • Use interactive and learner-centered teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to learners and parents.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Prepare students for internal and national examinations.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities, school initiatives, departmental meetings, and professional development.
  • Uphold classroom discipline, safeguarding policies, and ethical teaching standards.
  • Adhere to school financial policies regarding fee collection and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education (teacher registration preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching at primary school level with proven student learning outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of the Tanzanian primary curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, classroom management, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
  • High level of integrity and dedication to student development.
