Job Overview

ZCL invites applications from qualified Tanzanians for the position of Customs Clearing Officer (1 Post).

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit customs declarations for imports/exports.
  • Liaise with customs authorities and freight forwarders.
  • Classify goods using HS codes.
  • Maintain compliance with customs laws.
  • Advise clients on import/export regulations.
  • Conduct internal documentation audits.
  • Prepare customs clearance performance reports.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Customs Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in customs clearing or logistics.
  • Certification in customs or international trade preferred.
  • Strong understanding of customs laws and tariffs.
