Programme Associate, Market Access (SC6) – WFP Tanzania

The World Food Programme (WFP) seeks a Programme Associate to support smallholder market access initiatives under the Country Strategic Plan. The role focuses on improving aggregation, post-harvest handling, linking farmers to markets, and supporting value chain development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support on PHHS, aggregation, and BDS.
• Support linking smallholder farmers to viable markets.
• Coordinate with partners, NGOs, and government institutions.
• Train partners and staff on agricultural and market systems.
• Support data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Strengthen AMCOS, FSCs, and aggregation systems.
• Monitor market linkages, storage, and supply chain systems.

Requirements:

• Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agribusiness, or related fields.
• 3+ years relevant experience in agriculture or market systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and training skills.
• Fluency in English & Swahili.
