We are seeking a motivated Sales Representative to join our team and drive sales growth across assigned territories.

Reporting to: Field Sales Manager

🎯 Position Purpose

Increase the sales and distribution of products commercialized by TCC across the appointed wholesalers in the assigned territory portfolio by:

  1. Negotiating customer orders aiming at the realization of set sales targets (volume, availability)
  2. Guaranteeing the implementation of merchandising and promotional programs to achieve and maximize brand visibility at wholesale points of sale

📋 Key Responsibilities

Sales & Distribution Target Achievement

  • Negotiate orders to achieve sales and distribution targets and avoid out-of-stock situations
  • Deploy Trade Marketing activities in visited wholesale outlets
  • Establish privileged relationships and win/win partnerships with customers
  • Convey a positive and dynamic image of the company and its brands (brand ambassadorship)
  • Engage jobbers/retailers at Point of Purchase to understand their needs and stimulate product purchase
  • Distinguish and master all sales channels (differentiate/segment/concentrate)
  • Develop/maintain knowledge of the market (distributor territory coverage, illicit trade, jobbers)
  • Provide feedback in TME system for every customer call
  • Manage data to increase sales & marketing efficiency

Wholesaler Management

  • Conduct regular customer calls as per set weekly frequency and planned daily routes
  • Optimize daily routes time-wise
  • Prepare equipment and materials for daily activities
  • Listen to customers and identify their specific needs and development perspectives
  • Anticipate customer needs and objections
  • Sell product or program features and benefits
  • Guarantee product availability and optimize product presentation/promotion
  • Implement effective merchandising to increase brand and sales performance
  • Maintain in-trade product quality and ensure adequate stock rotation
  • Ensure wholesale stock holding corresponds to required minimal DIO
  • Conduct sales, stock and cash reconciliation as per Branch Accounting Manual
  • Deploy communication tools (POSM, promotions, programs)
  • Verify product cleanliness and POSM condition in wholesale outlets
  • Record and report product/service quality issues

Commercial Monitoring

  • Maintain up-to-date customer information in TME system
  • Conduct relevant TME system audits (availability, pricing, surveys)
  • Surface distribution network development opportunities to Branch management

Reporting

  • Document activities in wholesale outlets precisely in TME system as per Sales Cycle plan
  • Inform management about activities conducted and initiatives taken
  • Report competitor activities noted in wholesale outlets
  • Surface pertinent information with verified foundation and accuracy

🎓 Qualifications & Requirements

  • University Degree or Advanced Diploma in related field
  • 1 year of related experience
  • Ability to drive a manual car with a driving license of not less than 2 years
  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
