Sinosky International Company is a building and civil class one construction company. We seek a highly motivated and experienced Professional Civil Engineer to join our technical team and lead design and site delivery of our projects.

🎯 Position Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Professional Civil Engineer to take charge of both design and site supervision aspects of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to excellence in civil engineering practice across Tanzania.

📋 Key Responsibilities

📐

Design & Planning Leadership

Lead design, planning, and technical supervision of civil engineering projects from inception to completion
Prepare and review engineering drawings, bills of quantities (BOQ), specifications, and tender documents
Ensure designs comply with Tanzanian building codes, standards, and regulations
Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments

Site Supervision & Quality Assurance

Supervise contractors on site to ensure compliance with design specifications
Monitor adherence to quality standards, health & safety protocols, and project schedules
Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks
Resolve technical issues and provide on-site engineering solutions

Project Coordination & Management

Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, local authorities, and other stakeholders
Monitor project budgets and prepare detailed progress reports
Manage change orders and variations to project scope
Ensure project milestones are achieved within set timelines

👥

Team Leadership & Documentation

Mentor junior engineers and site staff in technical and professional development
Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of As-Built records
Implement and oversee project documentation systems
Conduct technical training and knowledge transfer sessions

✅ Minimum Qualifications & Experience

🎓

Education & Certification

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (BSc/BEng)
Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) with ERB Tanzania (advantage)
Valid practicing license

Professional Experience

Minimum 5 years’ professional experience
Design, site supervision, and project management experience
Medium to large scale construction projects preferred
Experience with engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.)

Technical Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of Tanzanian building codes
Contract administration and procurement expertise
Excellent English communication (Kiswahili advantage)
Leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

⭐ Preferred / Desirable Qualifications

🏗️Specialization in Structural Engineering

🛠️Experience with project management tools and ISO quality systems

🤝Prior experience with consulting/contracting firms in Tanzania

📜Advanced degree or additional professional certifications
