Tasks Include:

  • Support drafting CBIT Project Identification Forms (PIFs) and GEF-9 concept notes using AI/automation tools to identify country needs, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Use technologies like Power Platform, NLP, and ML to extract insights, automate tasks, or improve data management.
  • Develop data visualizations and dashboards to support project design and monitoring.
  • Research and document emerging applications of AI and automation in climate transparency, mitigation, and project development.
  • Contribute to technical briefs, presentations, and knowledge products.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions on innovative AI applications for national GHG inventory systems, MRV frameworks, and climate data platforms.
  • Support organization of virtual consultations, webinars, and workshops, including documentation and follow-up of project milestones.

Qualifications/Special Skills:

  • Enrolled in or completed a graduate program (second university degree or higher) in AI, data science, computer science, or environmental science.
  • Or in the final year of a first university degree (minimum bachelor) in a relevant field with AI/automation experience or coursework.
  • Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience but must have a relevant field of study.
