Role Purpose

To manage and optimize brewery and regional distribution, fleet & safety, inventory, and warehousing functions while ensuring adherence to AB InBev safety standards, operational efficiency, and cost management targets (VLC, ZBB, SCOH).


Key Responsibilities

Fleet & Safety

  • Maintain a safe, lawful, and ethical working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with OHS Act, Road Transport Act, and Governance Codes.
  • Conduct risk reviews and implement mitigation plans.
  • Maintain company fleet in good operating condition.

Quality

  • Ensure adherence to AB InBev quality guidelines for logistics and stock management.
  • Manage DOC & stock age to reduce write-offs.

DPO/VPO Compliance

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly operational meetings.
  • Track KPIs and apply problem-solving tools for out-of-range performance.
  • Standardize processes via SOPs and Operational Work Diagnoses (OWD).

Service Level & Operations

  • Maintain relationships with carriers and ensure brewery throughput.
  • Coordinate with Planning and Sales teams to support service levels.
  • Manage inventory policies and SLAs across warehouse and fleet functions.

Cost Management

  • Adhere to flexed budgets across delivery, warehouse, fleet, and inventory.
  • Account for over/underspends and ensure financial accountability.

People Management

  • Align staff goals and routines to drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct monthly one-on-ones, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions if needed.
  • Recruit talent, build pipelines, and maintain positive industrial relations.

Key Competencies & Attributes

  • Proficient in logistics software, inventory systems, and KPI tracking.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and operational improvement skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislative requirements (OHS, transport, safety).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage industrial relations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7–10 years’ progressive experience in logistics, fleet, or supply chain roles (FMCG/beverage/manufacturing preferred).
  • Professional certification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Safety Management (APICS, CILT, NEBOSH) preferred.
  • Proven experience managing fleet & safety operations and implementing quality management systems.
  • Experience in budget adherence, cost management, and operational accountability.
