Job Overview

Shanta Gold LTD is seeking a Civil Engineer for a one-year contract at the Singida Gold Mine. The role involves managing the lifecycle of geotechnical and structural infrastructure, ensuring all site engineering works are safe, compliant, and optimized for mining operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Design & Execution: Prepare conceptual designs and coordinate civil/structural projects from inception to commissioning.
• Quality Assurance: Develop and monitor QA/QC plans to ensure workmanship meets approved engineering standards.
• Project Control: Prepare schedules, track progress, and manage costs to keep projects within budget.
• Supervision: Oversee contractors and provide technical guidance to site trades personnel.
• Reporting: Submit regular project progress and cost reports to the Project Coordinator.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Certification: Must be registered with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) as a Professional Engineer.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural software (ETABS, SAP2000, or Prokon).
• Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a heavy industrial or mining environment.
