Position: Cuisine Chef – Nairobi (Indian Cuisine)

Peoplelink Consultants Ltd is looking for a talented Indian Cuisine Chef to join a reputable establishment in Nairobi. The ideal candidate should be passionate about authentic Indian food and skilled in preparing a wide range of traditional and modern dishes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a diverse selection of Indian dishes — including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, dosas, and street foods.
  • Follow authentic Indian cooking techniques and use genuine spices and ingredients.
  • Ensure meals are prepared and presented according to restaurant standards and within set timelines.
  • Maintain strict kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
  • Manage inventory and assist in sourcing high-quality ingredients.
  • Monitor and control food costs while minimizing waste.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Innovate and develop new Indian recipes to enhance the menu.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as an Indian Cuisine Cook in a restaurant, hotel, or catering service.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking methods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Certification in Culinary Arts or relevant professional training is an advantage.
