Position: Cuisine Chef – Nairobi (Indian Cuisine)

Peoplelink Consultants Ltd is looking for a talented Indian Cuisine Chef to join a reputable establishment in Nairobi. The ideal candidate should be passionate about authentic Indian food and skilled in preparing a wide range of traditional and modern dishes.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a diverse selection of Indian dishes — including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, dosas, and street foods.
Follow authentic Indian cooking techniques and use genuine spices and ingredients.
Ensure meals are prepared and presented according to restaurant standards and within set timelines.
Maintain strict kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
Manage inventory and assist in sourcing high-quality ingredients.
Monitor and control food costs while minimizing waste.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations.
Innovate and develop new Indian recipes to enhance the menu.
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Candidate Profile

Proven experience as an Indian Cuisine Cook in a restaurant, hotel, or catering service.
Strong knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking methods.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders.
Excellent understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Certification in Culinary Arts or relevant professional training is an advantage.
