Job Overview

The Digital Asset Management Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate, secure, and audit-ready records of all digital and IT assets. This role ensures effective asset discovery, lifecycle management, and access governance by enforcing standardized processes and automated tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Enable and manage automated discovery tools (OpManager) for asset detection across the IT environment.
• Enforce onboarding workflows: ensure no deployment occurs until an asset record exists.
• Map and configure Asset Explorer fields (serial numbers, location, owner) to maintain a common data model.
• Integrate inventory records with change management processes to trigger updates during patching or upgrades.
• Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and conduct monthly user access reviews using the WISEMAN tool.
• Define and manage decommissioning workflows, ensuring status updates and disposal certificates are attached.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM) or IT Operations.
• Hands-on experience with OpManager and Asset Explorer (or similar ITAM platforms).
• Working knowledge of ITIL-based processes (Asset, Change, and Access Management).
• Experience applying the “least privilege” principle and RBAC.
