Job Summary

WWF Tanzania is seeking 3 experienced Drivers to provide driving and maintenance services for WWF program vehicles and other WWF vehicles. The role supports program activities, staff mobility, and office operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive WWF program officers, partners, and visitors to field activities, meetings, and other work-related activities.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly maintained and serviced as required.
  • Maintain vehicle logbooks according to WWF policies, recording journey details, fuel, lubricants, services, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Pick up and deliver documents, mails, messages, purchased goods, and other office items.
  • Provide additional office support when not driving (e.g., photocopying, collating, cleaning, petty maintenance).
  • Support projects in photography and documentation as required.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or relevant WWF-TCO authority.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Holder of at least Ordinary Secondary School Certificate (Form IV).
  • Valid clean ‘Class C’ driving license.
  • Certificate in basic vehicle maintenance/mechanics (Trade Test Certificate preferred).
  • At least 3 years of driving experience in urban and remote areas.
  • Experience with Natural Resources Conservation Projects is an advantage.
  • Fluent in Kiswahili and basic functional English.
  • Competent in safe driving techniques, manual knowledge, and auto maintenance skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Experience working with international NGOs or donor-funded programs is a plus.

Working Relationships

  • Report to Project Lead, with a dotted line to the Logistic Officer.
  • Collaborate with WWF Tanzania Country Office staff, guests from other WWF offices, and consultants.
