Job Summary

The Farm Manager will oversee nursery, reforestation, and farm activities, contributing to environmental sustainability and greening initiatives at the Arusha site.

Responsibilities

• Increase reforestation through sapling growth and tree planting.
• Manage demo plots for farming technologies.
• Collaborate on research plots with ACER and partner universities.
• Train staff in regenerative agriculture practices.
• Manage farm equipment, landscaping, and maintenance of recreational areas.
• Lead harvesting, post-harvest operations, and sales.
• Collect and share farming and research data.

Requirements

• B.Sc. degree in a relevant field; Master’s is an advantage.
• 5–7 years’ experience in nurseries, reforestation, and agriculture.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, indigenous trees, forestry, soil protection, and regenerative farming.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills in English and Swahili.
