Position Summary

We are seeking a Finance Associate to join our team in Nairobi.
The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, supporting financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with internal and statutory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, and related financial documents.
  • Verify and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare KRA, PAYE, and VAT returns in line with Kenyan tax laws.
  • Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate records.
  • Manage inventory records, including stock movement tracking and audits.
  • Maintain accurate ledgers and financial documentation for audit readiness.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to resolve accounting-related issues.
  • Respond to vendor, customer, and internal financial inquiries.
  • Support the implementation of financial policies and internal controls.
  • Stay updated on GAAP/IFRS standards and apply them to financial reporting.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with special projects and ad hoc analysis.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance roles.
  • CPA certification is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (ODOO), Excel, and banking platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, tax compliance, and IFRS.
