Job Overview

Position: Finance Associate – Nairobi

Zeno Moto Limited is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Finance Associate to support daily accounting and finance operations. The successful candidate will ensure accurate transaction processing, maintain organized financial records, and assist in preparing reports to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, and other financial documents for approval and payment.
  • Verify and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all discrepancies are promptly resolved.
  • Prepare and file KRA, PAYE, and VAT returns in compliance with Kenyan tax laws.
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring transaction accuracy.
  • Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of stock movements, conducting regular audits.
  • Maintain updated financial records, ledgers, and supporting documentation for easy retrieval.
  • Collaborate with other departments (purchasing, sales, operations) to resolve accounting issues.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding transactions, balances, and payments.
  • Assist in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
  • Stay current on accounting principles, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
  • Support other administrative and finance-related tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Candidate Profile

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 3–4 years of experience in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
  • CPA certification is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (ODOO), Microsoft Excel, and banking platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities for cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Analytical mindset with solid problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP or IFRS standards.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
