About AIC Kapsowar Missions Hospital:
AIC Kapsowar Mission Hospital is a 154-bed teaching and referral facility located in Elgeyo Marakwet County, providing Christ-centered, compassionate health care to patients across Kenya. The hospital performs over 3,300 surgical procedures annually, sees over 45,000 outpatients, and has a medical training college with more than 400 students. The hospital is owned and operated by the Africa Inland Church (AIC) – Kenya.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a value-driven, mission-oriented Finance Manager to join our Senior Management Team. The Finance Manager will oversee and enhance the hospital’s financial systems, support strategic expansion efforts, and enable informed management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial policy frameworks, manuals, and procedures to ensure best practices.
  • Support preparation, monitoring, and implementation of the hospital’s strategic plan.
  • Lead annual budget preparation, departmental budget coordination, and financial forecasting.
  • Establish effective internal controls, accounting, and reporting systems.
  • Provide financial advice to Senior Management, the Board, and committees.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and capital expenditure projects.
  • Oversee performance management and training for the finance department.
  • Collaborate with procurement and other departments to meet operational needs.
  • Maximize recoveries from Social Health Authority (SHA), corporate, and insurance programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Hospital Director.

Person Specifications:

  • Practicing Christian willing to adhere to the AIC Statement of Faith.
  • Master’s Degree in Business, Project Management, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional qualification: CPA(K), ACCA, ACA, or equivalent; membership in ICPAK or recognized international body.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Knowledge of mission hospital operations and SHA program is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, accounting software, and ERP systems.
  • High integrity, results-oriented, and strong leadership skills.
