Job Overview

TotalEnergies is offering a dynamic Graduate Trainee opportunity within its Human Resources department in Dar es Salaam. This role is designed for recent graduates looking to launch their careers in a fast-paced, international energy company. The trainee will gain hands-on experience in HR administration, recruitment, and employee relations while ensuring compliance with Tanzanian labor laws and internal audit standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• HR Administration: Maintain and audit employee records, manage document control, and prepare HR correspondence.
• Recruitment & Onboarding: Support the end-to-end recruitment process, including interview scheduling and organizing orientation for new hires.
• Employee Relations: Respond to staff inquiries regarding policies and support disciplinary or grievance procedures through meticulous documentation.
• Training & Development: Administer training programs, coordinate with external providers, and accurately record project minutes.
• Payroll & Compliance: Assist in payroll validation and coordinate with regulatory bodies such as TRA, WCF, PSSSF, and NSSF.
• Systems & Reporting: Maintain the HRIS database and prepare monthly dashboards for headcount and leave metrics.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
• Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United Republic of Tanzania.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and sound understanding of Tanzania labour laws.
• Attributes: High integrity, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills.
