Brief Description

Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) is seeking a skilled IT Security Specialist to identify and resolve vulnerabilities within KCB Group’s information systems and infrastructure. The role involves strengthening the organization’s overall cybersecurity posture and supporting various security domains, including:

  • Application & Software Security
  • Data Protection
  • Network Security
  • Endpoint Security
  • Identity & Access Management
  • Vulnerability & Cloud Security
  • Security Monitoring

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, conduct, and manage user access reviews and recertifications.
  • Provide security expertise across multiple domains as assigned.
  • Offer technical security support to ICT projects from initiation to completion.
  • Implement security controls across ICT systems.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade security systems and solutions.
  • Identify, investigate, and mitigate information security incidents.
  • Conduct security research to stay ahead of emerging cyber threats.
  • Support activities mitigating risks identified by Audit and Risk teams.
  • Monitor ICT systems for indicators of compromise and ensure timely response.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized university.
  • At least one professional security certification, such as:
    • CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
    • SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
    • CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
    • OCSP (Offensive Security Certified Professional)
    • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Information Technology.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Information Security or Cybersecurity.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Systems, Database, or Network Administration.
  • Project implementation and user training experience is an added advantage.
