Duties & Responsibilities:

• Cut, clean, and align metal parts before welding.
• Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, arc, or gas welding techniques to join metal parts.
• Set up, adjust, and maintain welding machines and tools.
• Inspect and verify the quality, strength, and accuracy of welds to meet standards.
• Repair damaged metal parts or fabricate new structures as required.
• Ensure safe welding practices and wear appropriate PPE.
• Smooth welded joints and prepare surfaces for painting or further processing.
• Read and interpret technical blueprints and drawings.
• Report discrepancies or defects that require corrective or preventive maintenance.
• Maintain records of daily and monthly welding consumables usage within budget limits.

Qualification and Requirements:

• KCSE – Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.
• GTT I in Welding and Fabrication, or Technical Certificate/Diploma/Higher Diploma in Welding.
• 2–3 years of proven experience as a Welder.
• Ability to set up, operate, and maintain welding tools and equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance standards.
