About the Opportunity
SAVA Tech Financial Services is a licensed microfinance company operating under the trading name Sava Loan. We are seeking an Accountant/Finance Officer to maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with financial policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and post approved financial transactions in the accounting system
  • Maintain bank, cash, and mobile-money records; perform reconciliations
  • Process payments ensuring complete documentation
  • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Ensure compliance with Tanzanian statutory requirements
  • Support external and internal audits
  • Maintain financial controls and policies

Qualifications and Key Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA-T, ACCA) an advantage
  • 2-3 years of relevant accounting/finance experience
  • Knowledge of Tanzanian tax laws and regulatory environment
  • Strong computer skills, especially MS Excel
  • Fluency in English and Kiswahili
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
