About the Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate IT Intern to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment while supporting our critical work with children through technology innovation and end-user support.

Key Responsibilities
Technology Innovation (10%)

  • Collaborate with staff to identify needs for new or improved IT systems
  • Document existing and new systems clearly and efficiently
  • Assist with implementing and troubleshooting IT innovations

End User / Technical Support (60%)

  • Provide daily IT support to staff on computers and applications
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues via various communication methods
  • Perform maintenance on desktops, laptops, and network equipment

IT Helpdesk (30%)

  • Use internal IT incident reporting system to manage support requests
  • Document issues and actions taken for resolution
  • Escalate major problems to vendors or technicians
  • Ensure timely resolution of support tickets within KPIs

Qualifications and Key Skills

  • Minimum Advanced Diploma or Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Familiarity with User Experience Research & Design and Design Thinking Process
  • Passionate about Business Process Automation and Analytics
  • Experience with general-purpose programming languages
  • Basic knowledge of visualization tools like Power BI
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Platforms (SharePoint, Power Apps)
  • Basic understanding of System Administration and Networking
