About the Opportunity
RTI Tanzania is a nonprofit NGO dedicated to providing research and programme implementation services. We are seeking a Research Coordinator to support the “Caring Schools Project” and “Parenting for Early Years Project,” focusing on youth mental health and child development research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing research protocols and pretesting data collection tools
  • Train and supervise local data collectors and project staff
  • Plan and supervise data collection activities in the field
  • Conduct quality checks and monitor data routinely
  • Liaise with data management team for prompt data processing
  • Contribute to manuscript writing for publication in peer-reviewed journals
  • Ensure proper utilization of project resources and funds

Qualifications and Key Skills

  • Master’s in Public Health, Epidemiology, Education, Sociology, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in coordinating/managing research teams
  • Understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English and Kiswahili
  • Computer literacy and proven report-writing skills
  • Experience writing peer review publications
  • Experience working with adolescents, children and parents preferred
