About the Opportunity
This internship is open to Kenyan students with a BSc in Zoology, Botany, Environmental Sciences, GIS, or a Diploma in Wildlife Management/Conservation. Applicants must have at least one previous experience in fieldwork, including as part of their academic training. Previous attachment and/or internship with another conservation organization is a bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct fieldwork and research as required by the research centre.
  • Utilize Excel and statistical software for data analysis and graph production.
  • Apply GIS knowledge for environmental and wildlife mapping where applicable.
  • Contribute to scientific writing and reporting in English.

Qualifications and Key Skills

  • BSc in Zoology, Botany, Environmental Sciences, GIS, or a Diploma in Wildlife Management/Conservation.
  • At least one previous experience in fieldwork.
  • English proficiency and experience with scientific writing in English.
  • Good knowledge of Excel and the Microsoft Office package.
  • Ability to conduct basic statistics and produce graphs in Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of GIS environments and statistical software is preferable.
