Contract Type: Full-time – National Employment Contract
Contract Duration: 12 months (including probation), renewable
Starting Date: 10th November 2025
Salary Range: TZS 1,000,000 – 1,200,000

The Kijani Pemba Project focuses on WASH access, quality education, sustainable community business development, and green areas for schools and communities.

Position Summary

The Field Officer will lead the Community and Gender component of the project, ensuring effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of activities while engaging schools, communities, and local stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement community & gender activities in line with project design.
  • Coordinate beneficiary selection, surveys, training, awareness events, and distributions.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation (MoUs, reports, attendance sheets, etc.).
  • Support MEAL in data collection, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Build strong networks with communities, CSOs, schools, and Local Authorities.
  • Represent WeWorld in meetings and ensure project visibility.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Social Sciences, Social Work, M&E, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in community engagement work.
  • Experience with donor-funded projects is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Kobo/data collection skills desirable.
