Location: Shinyanga, Tanzania (Site-Based)
Reporting To: General Manager
Roster Type: 6 Weeks On / 4 Weeks Off
Employment Type: Full Time

Position Description
The Finance Manager will be a key member of the site leadership team, providing strategic and operational financial management, driving performance improvement, ensuring compliance, and embedding the Barrick DNA across the Finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in financial management and business decision-making.
  • Manage accounts receivable/payable, reconciliations, and working capital.
  • Oversee cash office functions and reduce cash footprint.
  • Support budget holders with cost control and accountability.
  • Lead management reporting, performance analysis, and feasibility studies.
  • Ensure statutory and internal financial reporting compliance.
  • Provide financial advice on contracts, profitability, and asset management.
  • Optimize capital allocation in line with Life of Mine Plans.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor project expenses and ROI tracking.
  • Promote environmental management system compliance and improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or equivalent.
  • CPA (T) or equivalent; NBAA registered.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in high-level finance roles, preferably in mining.
  • Strong ERP, MS Office, and reporting tools experience.
  • Experience in training, development, and remote site environments is an advantage.

  • Strong accounting expertise and ability to coach and develop teams.
