Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Junior Accounting Officer to join our dynamic remote finance team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards while supporting international transactions and cross-border processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and internal policies.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable processes for accuracy.
  • Review and enhance internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial planning and analysis.

Cross-Border Transactions

  • Manage and reconcile inter-company transactions and balances.
  • Prepare documentation for international transactions to comply with transfer pricing and regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain foreign bank accounts, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with local and international finance teams to align on reporting and strategic goals.
  • Provide financial guidance to business units on international accounting matters.
  • Liaise with global stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and provide financial updates.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA preferred).
  • 0–2 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho, MYOB, Sage, NetSuite, SAP, or similar software.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Eagerness to learn new tools and cross-train team members.
