The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS / UTUMISHI) has released new announcements for candidates called to work in various government institutions for October 2025.

About PSRS (UTUMISHI)

The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) is a government organ with the status of an independent department, established specifically to facilitate recruitment into the Public Service.

It was created under the Public Service Act No. 8 of 2002 as amended by Act No. 18 of 2007, section 29(1).

Functions of PSRS include:

  • Searching for professionals with special skills and maintaining a database for easy recruitment.
  • Registering graduates and professionals for reference in filling public service vacancies.
  • Advertising vacant posts in the public service.
  • Engaging experts to conduct interviews.
  • Advising employers on recruitment-related matters.
  • Performing other duties as directed by the Minister responsible for Public Service.
