Job Overview

The Legal Officer will provide legal advisory and representation services, handling contracts, regulatory compliance, litigation management, and corporate governance. This role reports to the Head of Legal.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal advice on operational and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MOUs, and legal agreements.
• Manage litigation, arbitration, and liaison with external law firms.
• Ensure adherence to statutory filings and corporate compliance.
• Conduct legal due diligence for transactions and partnerships.
• Represent the organization before courts and tribunals where permitted.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB).
• Enrolled Advocate and member of the Tanganyika Law Society (TLS).
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in legal practice or an in-house role.
• Strong skills in drafting, negotiation, and advocacy.
