About the Recruitment

The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) is an independent government agency responsible for coordinating and facilitating recruitment within Tanzania’s Public Service. PSRS ensures that recruitment is transparent, fair, and professional, in accordance with the Public Service Act No. 8 of 2002 (amended by Act No. 18 of 2007, Section 29(1)).

Key Objectives of PSRS:

• Coordinate all public service recruitment processes, from advertising vacancies to candidate screening and interviews.
• Ensure that recruitment is merit-based and free from bias and bureaucracy.
• Provide equal opportunities, with emphasis on gender equality and inclusion of special groups.
• Ensure selected candidates meet Public Service requirements and are well-informed about laws, procedures, and work ethics.
• Enhance accountability, performance standards, and quality of service delivery in the public sector.

This recruitment aims to fill 17,710 vacancies across MDAs (Ministries, Departments, and Agencies) and LGAs (Local Government Authorities) in Tanzania, contributing to the country’s social and economic development.
