Organization Overview
The Cotton Development Trust Fund (CDTF) was incorporated in Tanzania on 4th March 2008 under the Trustees Incorporation Act (CAP.318 R.E. 2002) as per certificate of incorporation No. 3352. The Fund replaced the Cotton Development Fund (CDF), which was established under the Cotton Industry Act No. 2 of 2001, in line with the wishes of stakeholders outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding signed on 21st April 2006.

Available Positions

• Accountant (1 Post – Six Months Contract)
• Accountant (3 Posts – Internship)

Duty Station: Mwanza

Education Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration (majoring in Accountancy or Finance) or equivalent qualifications from recognized institutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform interdepartmental audits.
• Conduct periodical cash accounting for each department to verify correctness of balances.
• Carry out regular and surprise/special audits to Directorates, Sections, and Units.
• Examine financial accounting and supporting documents.
• Evaluate effectiveness of internal control systems and recommend improvements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualitative Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle complex data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
