About the Organization:
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization providing emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters, and exclusion from healthcare. MSF operates based on the principles of neutrality and impartiality.

Position Overview:
MSF, in collaboration with MoH, is conducting a GBS IAP Feasibility study in Liwale. The Medical Data Processing Officer will carry out data collection and entry activities into the study database, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and timely reporting to support medical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter epidemiological and clinical data into study databases.
  • Ensure all data is accurate, complete, and authorized.
  • Perform quality control checks and report anomalies immediately.
  • File and manage documents following MSF standards.
  • Support HCWs through training and guidance on data collection procedures.
  • Compile regular reports for medical and laboratory teams.
  • Track study participants and follow-ups in coordination with midwives and supervisors.
  • Maintain proper storage of study forms and ensure confidentiality.
  • Provide simple statistical summaries when required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Data Management, IT, Mathematics, or a related field (higher education required).
  • Proven computer literacy (Word, Excel, Internet).
  • Experience with data recording software (Kobo, Redcap, DHIS2, Fuchia, EpiInfo, etc.) is an asset.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years in data capturing or monitoring and evaluation support.
  • Experience in a hospital or health center is a plus.
