Located in Central Serengeti, just a 45-minute drive from the Seronera Airstrip, our Lodge opened in December 2012 and features:

Basic Purpose

Provide administrative and clerical support to the People and Culture Department, assisting employees with HR-related matters. Respond to inquiries efficiently, courteously, and professionally to ensure maximum employee and guest satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons policies and procedures.


Essential Functions

  • Conduct self in a professional manner at all times, adhering to Four Seasons’ service standards and policies.
  • Maintain a neat, professional appearance and arrive punctually for scheduled shifts.
  • Comply with all employee work rules and standards of conduct as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Coordinate employee transportation and related allowances, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policy.
  • Manage Park Fee services for Lodge employees in collaboration with Finance and relevant authorities.
  • Serve as a confidential resource for employee counseling and conflict resolution.
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding process, including application response, interview scheduling, reference checks, and new hire documentation.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities such as social, sports, recognition, and wellness events.
  • Prepare communication materials (posters, updates) and highlight events through photos and internal channels.
  • Maintain the Monthly Employee Relations Calendar and oversee engagement initiatives.
  • Inspect employee accommodations regularly to ensure comfort, cleanliness, and readiness for new arrivals.
  • Oversee the upkeep of employee facilities such as the Cafeteria, Recreation Room, Lounge, and Gym.
  • Manage internal communication channels including notice boards and internal discussion platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with the Four Seasons “Lead With Care” Health & Safety Program.
  • Provide administrative support including filing, correspondence, database management, and reporting.
  • Support People & Culture projects and other tasks assigned by the Director of People & Culture.

Non-Essential Functions

  • Provide cross-departmental support during peak periods.
  • Assist with coordination of training programs in the absence of the Learning & Development Coordinator.
  • Participate in Lodge Fun and Connectivity activities to foster a positive culture.
  • Support special projects or initiatives as assigned.
  • Maintain professional relationships with all colleagues and supervisors.
  • May be temporarily assigned to the Arusha logistics office or other locations as required.
  • Ensure all employee areas (cafeteria, entrance, accommodations) meet Four Seasons cleanliness and presentation standards.

Knowledge and Skills

Education:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Additional HR or administrative certification preferred

Experience:

  • Previous administrative or HR/People & Culture experience preferred
  • Hospitality experience is an asset

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English and Swahili (written and spoken)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly

Hours Required: Nine-hour shift with one-hour break (schedule may vary based on business needs)
