Position: Geologist

Reporting to: Reporting Manager

Location: Tanzania – NYATI CEMENT / LAKE CEMENT LTD.

Key Responsibilities

General

Ensure health, safety, and environmental procedures are followed
Take responsibility for allocated job tasks
Maintain documentation and provide weekly MIS reports
Handle unplanned work and adapt to changing priorities

Land & Geological Management

Monitor land records, legal documents, and geological data
Inspect lands and execute geological plans as per SOP
Read, create, and maintain maps for mine planning

Planning & Operations

Execute plans and procure resources according to Standard Operating Procedures
Contribute to mine planning and applied geology activities
Focus on continuous self-skill development

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma in Exploration and Mining Geology or Geology
4–6 years of experience in opencast mine geology
Knowledge of geological survey software and mine planning tools
Familiarity with government mining regulations

Skills & Attributes

Strong leadership and communication skills
Fluency in English for communication and correspondence
Hands-on experience in applied geology and mine planning
Proficiency in mine planning software
Positive attitude, high integrity, and self-motivated
