Job Overview

The Procurement Assistant will be responsible for managing inventory, evaluating vendor performance, and ensuring efficient stock control levels within the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Authorizing receipts of goods and confirming quantity and quality.
  • Carrying out reconciliation of physical stocks against records and ensuring maintenance of stock levels.
  • Evaluating vendor performance and maintaining an up-to-date filing system on pricing and vendors.
  • Ensuring efficient stock control levels are maintained through inventory analysis and control.
  • Handling clearing and forwarding activities as well as physical placement and deliveries of goods.

Qualifications

  • Holder of First Degree/Diploma/Professional Level III in Materials Management or Procurement and Logistics Management.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, supply chain management, and contract management.
  • Experience in procurement within the Hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
