Job Overview

The Program Assistant will provide supervision to Play labs in the ECD project, ensuring that objectives and results are achieved according to standards in the project framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply participatory techniques to facilitate children and communities in identifying development priorities.
• Ensure children’s attendance at play labs is maintained at more than 90%.
• Organize monthly parents and community meetings at play lab centers.
• Maintain the caseload of enrolled children and ensure quality assurance of early childhood components.
• Promote child rights-based programming and ensure mandatory reporting of child abuse cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Care and Development, Education Management, Sociology, Social Work, or Development Studies.
• At least 1-2 years’ practical experience working with NGOs, Education, or Child Protection programs.
• Knowledge of the Tanzanian education system and government policies regarding early learning.
• Strong skills in teamwork, communication, and community mobilization.
