Public Relations and Communication Officer at CVPeople Tanzania

Job Overview

Located in Iringa, this role requires a proactive and creative professional to lead internal and external communications. The successful candidate will manage brand visibility and community engagement, utilizing skills in digital content creation, photography, and drone operation to showcase commercial operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Strategy & Media: Develop communication strategies, prepare press releases, and manage media relations and journalist networks.
• Branding: Update social media and websites, design promotional materials, and coordinate participation in public exhibitions.
• Content Creation: Capture high-quality photography and videography (including drone footage) and produce short documentaries on company activities.
• CSR & Engagement: Plan and communicate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and foster relationships with local leaders.
• Reporting: Manage communication budgets and prepare monthly newsletters for stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in corporate communications or media production.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or Canva; experienced in drone operation.
• Knowledge: Background in the agriculture or agribusiness sector is a significant advantage.
