Job Summary

HR World Ltd, on behalf of their client, seeks a qualified and proactive Seed Production Research Agronomist to support and enhance hybrid seed production through applied agronomic research, technical support, and data-driven improvement of production practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and improve seed production practices to maximise yield and quality.
  • Benchmark yield and quality performance against industry standards.
  • Design, execute, and manage field trials and pilot studies.
  • Document and communicate research findings.
  • Support production teams with technical troubleshooting and training.
  • Lead data collection and analysis for field and processing performance.
  • Guide production planning (G x E, planting dates, optimum splits, row ratios, plant population, etc.).
  • Engage stakeholders on evolving production and regulatory practices.
  • Contribute to ISO and safety compliance.
  • Support producibility assessments for new hybrid seed launches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the hybrid seed industry.
  • Valid Seed Inspector’s License and Driver’s License.
  • Skilled in experimental design, data analysis, and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of ISO/Quality Management Systems.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
